Quote of the Day

"Faith has to do with things that are not seen and hope with things that are not at hand."
   - Thomas Aquinas

Today is Wednesday, Feb 22, 2012

We meet at the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at 2130 E. Fourth Street, Suite 160, Santa Ana, CA 92705. Meetings will start at 6:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM. There is parking available in the rear of the building. For more information, please call 714-352-0312.

Latin Leaders is a Toastmasters International club which meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:00. Our club is bilingual. The first Tuesday of every month we hold the meeting in Spanish and encourage our members to do their presentations/table topics in Spanish, although it is optional and you may speak in either English or Spanish at any time. We strive to have two speakers every week and a table topics session to give an opportunity for everyone to practice speaking. Additionally, all members participate in meeting roles in an organized environment. Our focus is to improve leadership skills as well as speaking skills in a way that is enjoyable.
The feedback from most people who visit us (and most of them join us) is that our club is very supportive of all members, encouraging participation and providing positive feedback for the development of our members - but you should experience that for yourself. You are welcome to join us as a guest any time and let us know what you think. For more information email us at info@latinleaders.org, or just walk in on Tuesdays and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Welcome New Members

by @ January 26, 2011   10:08 am.
Hey everyone,
Please welcome our newest members, Helder Guzman and Surindra Mann.
Helder has already given his Ice Breaker speech and we expect to hear his 2nd speech next week on what makes people procrastinate.  I know we are all guilty of that so that will be something very interesting to hear from his perspective.
Surindra Mann just finished her 3rd speech with some very helpful tips on using body language.  Surindra is also a member of the fantastic Vineyard Journeys Toastmasters club and is eager to get through the manual.  She will certainly have our support along the way.
Also welcome back Cristy Ponce.  It’s great to see you again.  Let’s make sure you end this year far improved than you started months ago.  We’ll get you there, don’t worry.
I very much enjoy seeing you all every week.  If you haven’t been around in a while you are truly missing out.  We are really having some fun and learning a lot.  I love it when I see such progress.  Keep it up, everyone!
