Latin Leaders is a
Toastmasters International club which meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:35.
Our club is bilingual. The first Tuesday of every month we hold the
meeting in Spanish and encourage our members to do their presentations/table topics in Spanish, although it
is optional and you may speak in either English or Spanish at any time. We strive to have two speakers every
week and a table topics session to give an opportunity for everyone to practice speaking. Additionally, all
members participate in meeting roles in an organized environment. Our focus is to improve leadership skills
as well as speaking skills in a way that is enjoyable.
The feedback from most people who visit us (and most of them join us) is that our club is very supportive of
all members, encouraging participation and providing positive feedback for the development of our members -
but you should experience that for yourself. You are welcome to join us as a guest any time and let us know
what you think. For more information email us at info@latinleaders.org,
or just walk in on Tuesdays and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
It was a very fun meeting last night. The theme was “laughter” and we certainly had a lot of that. Even though the meeting was fun and laid back, we still started and ended on time. We had two speakers, myself and Alberto. I gave a Successful Club Series speech on Mentoring, and Alberto talked about keeping your relationship happy. He certainly did some research on the differences between men and women and did a great job meeting the objectives of his speech. Todd Swain took over Table Topics due to a last minute cancelation. His topics were very insightful and interesting. Everyone had a chance to speak today. Delfino has recently become a new father and talked about that briefly. Now we know why he hasn’t been around recently. He is now back on track on scheduled to complete a few speeches in the next two months. Make sure you come to the meetings so you don’t miss these great speeches.
Dan,
The website is looking better and better. If you’d like, I can help you test the new features that you add on it. I think the formatting needs to be improved. Otherwise, it’s coming along niceley. Let me know if you need anything else from me.
Thanks for giving me a chance to win the Evaluator Award.

Twelve months ago we set our goal for the year to become President’s Distinguished and we put that plan in place and followed it month after month. Well, that planning has paid off as we are now officially a President’s Distinguished club. This is a first for our club and it is certainly something to be celebrated, but we cannot let ourselves become complacent. The new year has started and again we must be diligent in planning for the coming year setting our sights again at President’s Distinguished status. We have set a new bar for our club and we hope to continue in moving that bar higher and higher with each new year.
Membership again should be our immediate focus and we must strive to fill our speaking slots and achieve educational awards for everyone reaching for that goal this year. It should be a walk in the park, now that we know it can be done. Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to make this happen.
