Quote of the Day

"The maxims of men reveal their characters."
   - Luc de Clapier

Today is Monday, Sep 06, 2010

We meet at the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at 2130 E. Fourth Street, Suite 160, Santa Ana, CA 92705. Meetings will start at 6:30 PM and end at 7:35 PM. There is parking available in the rear of the building. For more information, please call 714-352-0312.

Latin Leaders is a Toastmasters International club which meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:35. Our club is bilingual. The first Tuesday of every month we hold the meeting in Spanish and encourage our members to do their presentations/table topics in Spanish, although it is optional and you may speak in either English or Spanish at any time. We strive to have two speakers every week and a table topics session to give an opportunity for everyone to practice speaking. Additionally, all members participate in meeting roles in an organized environment. Our focus is to improve leadership skills as well as speaking skills in a way that is enjoyable.
The feedback from most people who visit us (and most of them join us) is that our club is very supportive of all members, encouraging participation and providing positive feedback for the development of our members - but you should experience that for yourself. You are welcome to join us as a guest any time and let us know what you think. For more information email us at info@latinleaders.org, or just walk in on Tuesdays and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

One step closer to President’s Distinguished

by @ June 18, 2008   4:39 am.

I thought that today would be the day we meet our 9th goal but it turns out that both Beatriz and Nahetzin have yet one more speech to complete after today. Both gave their penultimate speeches today. Michelle was our third speaker which was done in Spanish. Michelle already has multiple CC awards but this time she is doing it in Spanish. Way to go Michelle. I can’t wait until you complete this.

So don’t miss our meeting next week. Beatriz will be giving her 10th speech, the inspirational speech, making her our 4th CC award this year. Nahetzin will be giving her 10th advanced speech, one from the Professional Speaker series, making her our 2nd AC award this year. Alright!
