Latin Leaders is a
Toastmasters International club which meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:35.
Our club is bilingual. The first Tuesday of every month we hold the
meeting in Spanish and encourage our members to do their presentations/table topics in Spanish, although it
is optional and you may speak in either English or Spanish at any time. We strive to have two speakers every
week and a table topics session to give an opportunity for everyone to practice speaking. Additionally, all
members participate in meeting roles in an organized environment. Our focus is to improve leadership skills
as well as speaking skills in a way that is enjoyable.
The feedback from most people who visit us (and most of them join us) is that our club is very supportive of
all members, encouraging participation and providing positive feedback for the development of our members -
but you should experience that for yourself. You are welcome to join us as a guest any time and let us know
what you think. For more information email us at info@latinleaders.org,
or just walk in on Tuesdays and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming some very special guests, Edgar and Amarian from AVANZA magazine. Avanza is designed to market/target many community members shedding light on the positive aspects of community involvement and its resources. Avanza has featured our club in their magazine and I would like you to join us in thanking them for their support.
Participation in our meetings has been low due to life changing events. Life is busy and priorities change, however, last week our meeting was in full swing as our members once again were out in full force. Edgar and Amarian joined us for a round of fun table topics and showed their awesome courage and amazing speaking skills. They also brought along two new guests making it a total of five new guests in a two week period! Awesome!
Two speeches were given with Pat Gary speaking on Small Claims basics (how to sue someone in small claims court without really trying!) and Sal Zamarripa speaking on his father-in-laws annoying habits at the airport. Table topics were handled by Dan Cossack which provided everyone with an opportunity to speak.
Together we must continue to strive to become better speakers as our club is geared toward supporting our goals. We must make it a point to arrive promptly and make every effort to attend the meetings, even if it means rescheduling other events. Each of us brings an individual talent to the club, whether it is your skill at table topic subjects, grammarian, evaluator, timer or ah counter. We must work hard to achieve our personal goals as well as club goals.
Our club is doing a fantastic job and we will continue to go all out in Participation, Progress and Personal Growth – so join us when you can!

Our mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning
