Welcome back in 2007
Wow, it is now 2007 and our first Toastmasters meeting of the year. I hope everyone had a very enjoyable holiday. Daniel was the toastmaster today and also presented a speech from the Technical Presentations manual. This was a news brief covering the exciting announcement from Apple today at MacWorld. Beatriz also presented a very delightful and long awaited speech about her trip to Europe last November. Carlos ran the Table Topics today. Best table topics award today went to our guest, Todd. Congratulations Todd! And we’re looking forward to seeing you again next week.
Our club speech contest is beginning its planning. More details on that will follow in the weeks to come. If you are interested in participating, either as a contestant, a judge, timer, or join the planning committee, please let me know and we’ll get you signed up. Keep working on those speeches and see you all next week.
